A 5th wheel is a WAYYYYYY better idea than a bumper pull on a half ton all else equal.
If I'm going to pull 10klbs, I'd way rather it on a fifth wheel than way out at the back of my frame.
If you're getting a bumper pull get a 3/4 ton.
