Mississippi State 2002. It was my freshman year. We deffered and Saban kicked off in both halves.

It was Miss St. game, don't remember the year. Won the toss and captain said he wanted to kick (he meant defer, but it was too late) I want to say it was during the Saban era though

Def miss st 2002. About 93 @ kickoff. My wife's first lsu game. 4 months pregnant. Spent the entire game in the tunnel. Hawthorne and Moreau talked about it in the post game. I had never witnessed such. Domanick Davis punt return TD sorta saved us, and I said we'd never win anything with Matt Mauck. He was horrendous that day.

Texas A&M in 92 I think LSU won the toss and instead of deferring the option elected to kick off. I won $20 off a buddy of mine when I heard LSU chose to kickoff and said they would be kicking off in 2nd half too. He said no way a college team would make that mistake. I said they are Coached by Curley Hallman so it happened. When LSU lined up to kick off in the 2nd half he took out his wallet and handed me the 20 bucks
