Storm is brewing for a split title IMO. I can easily see a 1-loss SEC champ getting in over an undefeated Stanford/Louisville/Oregon or vice versa and creating a possible split.

It could happen, but I'm not so sure it will.
I'm an LSU fan so of course I'd love a 1-loss LSU team to get a bid over a PAC12 or ACC champ that was undefeated....and we do play a tougher schedule overall than those teams....but when it comes down to it taking of my SEC glasses is say they do play a legitimately though schedule.
Oklahoma/Baylor/Texas tech ...they would at least have one top ten victory but overall their schedules are far weaker than any SEC school that didn't have a tailor made conference schedule.
But Ohio state....hell no! They won't play a top ten team and at best might face three teams in the top 25. They are a creation of media bias hyping the brand name. Not only do they not have a schedule to prove they are a good team, they haven't really looked good against the borderline "good" teams they have played
They had the opportunity to beef up their OOC schedule and instead face cal (71 per CFN), San Diego state (100), buffalo (104) and FAMU (FCS).
Throw in Iowa (43), Illinois 55), penn state (46), and Purdue (82) and it means two-thirds of their schedule is outside the top 40
In comparison LSU will face at least three top ten teams, 7 in the top 40 ...not including SEC championship
