I don't have a Champion, but he seems to pwn me in arena. I'm not sure how he performs on the battlefield.

I have started leveling him in the dungeons by clearing out the field with TG and then dropping Champ to pick up some XP. A few times I have let him attack things to use his special, and it looks like it hits on buildings as well as troops, so he seems pretty handy to me. I will let you know how he fares once I get him up to lvl 60+ and start really working him.
