He didn't beat it, it had just shrunk, not gone away.

That doesn't answer the question. His motivation has nothing to do with how the show ends. Plot twists, story evolution, etc. don't exist in your world?
In one where the entirety of the show's plot centers around Walt knowing he is going to die, no. There are many other plot twists, but that one would make zero sense in the show.

It's definitely 9 at first. But eventually you'll agree that it could be 1 or 9.
You have to see that putting that in a title is at least a little questionable.

I never said the answer was 1.

He didn't expressly say Walt died. Good god.

Not true. *spoilers*
Towards the end of the 1st season, he's beginning to be motivated by the thrill of doing something illegal.

That's not what the entirety of the plot centers around.

Does the show happen without him being given 2 years to live?

See above question.

Okay, I'd just like to reiterate that I never asked for anyone to be banned, just for the thread to be whacked.
And all of you people arguing are wrong. You don't put anything that could hint of a spoiler in the thread title for a show that ended 4 days ago. It's common courtesy.

This thread title needs a spoilers tag

ALL OF THIS

I never said the answer was 1.
quote:It was strongly implied which would have been better suited in the post instead of the title. I don't think it was intentionally there to spoil.

So there should never be any threads that speculate on a show in the event that that speculation ends up being a spoiler?

Do you seriously not see the difference in speculating on future events and discussing past events?

There can be as many as you want.
Just title them like this
What would this event be like? (Breaking Bad Spoilers)
Then in the subject: What would Walts funeral be like?
Now we don't have this issue

Theres a "Crackpot ASOIAF Theories" thread thats going on 9K posts. People post speculative stuff all the time.
This wasn't speculation.

So now every thread about every show needs to have a spoiler tag? Good luck with that.

You don't know that unless you just assumed it as fact. What if it had been Hank, Marie, Jesse, Skyler, Saul or whoever else's name instead of Walt's? Would all those need spoilers too?
