I didn't watch the game either and his stats looked ok, but I saw multiple media members comment on how terrible he was. Steve Czaban who does a sports radio show in DC tweeted this
quote:

John Beck > Matt Flynn.

quote:

Season, saved. Might have been the worst game I've watched start to finish in 9 years. Flynn is unspeakably awful.

Michael Wilbon tweeted:
quote:

My God, No wonder why Matt Flynn's been beaten out twice...He's awful...really and truly awful...

Why would you keep Matt Flynn after watching this if you're the Raiders coaches? He's playing like HE'S the one who's concussed!

t sucks because JaMarcus Russell has all the talent in the world and squandered it (not sure if he'll ever make it back to playing in the NFL).

Matt Flynn seems to come off as a blue collared, bust his arse attitude to get these opportunities.

Racist

Gotta love our fans. If a former player gets demoted its always the teams fault. Never the player

Yeah, there maybe some of that in here....LOL

At the same time, Flynn's playing for a terrible Oakland team. There's a reason Flynn has already gotten a start. Pryor is running for his life out there and he has more mobility than Flynn.

It might be more sympathy from me. I don't think anyone on here thinks Flynn is as good as Brees, but he has had some misfortune and bad luck as well.

Can someone who watched the Raiders v. Broncos game explain to me. Looking at the box score 22/34 246yards 64.75% 1 TD and 1 pick. Those obviously aren't good numbers but they aren't absolutely horrible

Yeah. I'm not sure Manning, Elway, or Moon could succeed with that offensive line.... it's pretty offensive.

Offensive lines are pretty important to a qbs success rickdaddy.
Everybody shoud know this by now... Especially a guy with as many opinions as you have,

Both manning and elway had shite olines in their first few years and they both put up numbers. Manning set passing records as a rookie. Neither elway nor manning had a good oline at the start of their careers.

Eta: while a good oline can help an avg qb a good qb can help an
Avg line.

I wish Flynn would've succeeded. He is a good dude he just hasn't had any good luck at all.

I would say he's had a great luck considering that contract he got off of one game. He's just not taken advantage of his opportunities.

It would have been nice if JaMarcus had people on here coming to his rescue also.

Jamarcus played for the exact same shitty franchise that y'all are complaining didn't give Flynn a fair chance. And in his time, al Davis was the owner and lane kiffin was the coach.
