No. Just no. Statues of football coaches are stupid.

I agree. You only do statues when they die. See joe paterno. I am fine with a Paul dietzel.

I don't want a statue at TS of any guy who leaves LSU to coach some place else.

that's pretty pimp, beam.

I think Les should have to do something unrivaled at LSU first before we give him a statue. Needs to win another championship.

Or very, very retired.

I love that we have a Shaq statue. I just wish it was a better one.

I agree. Statues, buildings, and streets should not be constructed/named when the person is still at the facility. We should also keep in mind that no coach single-handedly won a team a championship--it is really the reverse--or at least a combination of the two.

Don't create a statue until the person is dead. Too soon for Les. If anyone Paul Deitzel

I think it should be him and Saban with Miles holding his hand out and Saban giving him a set of keys to the kingdom.

All BS aside, you have to have a Saban statue also in my opinion.

No. After he becomes the all time LSU winningest coach and gets into the CHOF and retires and dies without any scandals, then we'll talk about it. Not while he's still coaching. Too much can go wrong. Actually not ever. I hate statues outside of stadiums.

I've always found it odd to have statues of people who are still currently coaching or playing.

Seems like something more appropriate for after they are done.
