I have a one of those temporary "carports" that has ten 5' long legs. I need to raise it up 5' more, so would like to just replace those legs with 10' legs.
The metal legs are about 2.125"x 2.125".
Any ideas?

Take treated 4X4s and notch the top 8 inches to accept the posts you have. Set them and then encase with 6x6 boards to seal everything in place.
Alternate. Size metal pipes that the current posts will drop down into. Cut off current posts leaving a foot of post and drop them down into the posts.
Alternate. Csll carport folks and see if they sell taller posts.

Buy 2" x 2" galvanize square tube cut in half(sold 20' sections) and replace your existing tubes.

The price for a 2" x .125 wall 20' long is $52.12. For 2-1/2" x .125 wall 20'long is $66.23. If you need to purchase this stuff let me know and give me an email and I can send you a quote and hook ya up.
