Will we be more conservative?

With the defensive struggles now more evident, will Les turn back to a more run oriented ball control offense to keep our defense off the field? Maybe see Mett max at 20 attempts or so a game?

No. We need to score everytime we have the ball. The defense cannot stop anyone.

Wouldnt you do exactly the opposite of that with an offense that is worth a shite?

So you're willing to put the defense out there for more opportunities to breakdown? I don't mean kick FG instead of TD. Since the offense is executing well,we should have no problem controlling the game.

Your solution to our defensive woes is to score fewer points?

Have you seen us run the ball? We suck at it against a good team. You have an offense that can score, why the frick would you want to slow them down because your defense sucks? You score and score and score and hope the other team eventually fricks up and doesnt score as much.

Scoring 41 didn't help. I'm saying if we could've kept the ball longer on last scoring drive, it could've possibly influenced the outcome differently. Obviously at that point you take what you can get.
When we started running downhill in 2nd half, we started controlling the game and started getting some defensive breaks.

Well if you try and slow down you may not score. Thats exactly what I told the guy I was watching the game with, he said "slow down". I said you dont slow down, you have to have 7 here. You hope that they either frick up or your Defense makes a play.

Or not see the ball again
jesus man. It is going to be up to the other team to match what we do. They have to be able to keep up. Saints don't take the ball of Brees' hands in order to help the defense.
You do what puts points on the board period

We stopped them once in the 2nd half and we fumbled it the next play. They scored on every drive from the 14 minute point in the 2nd quarter on

I agree with you, take what you can at that point. I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised with a gradual change in philosophy from here on out. The less the defense is on the field, the less opportunity for the other team to score.
For all you bashers, how many championships has Oregon, Baylor, Texas A&M and others won with the philosophy to score as many as you can that you're suggesting?

Doesn't make sense to run more given the OL's performance saturday.I'd have to see a lot of improvement there. Pass at will because until something changes we will be in horse races in many games

I do wish that all of our top offensive line recruits that were such studs when we recruited them could open up some good running lanes for our backs and provide better pass protection for Mett.
Jeremy Hill only getting 3 yards per carry (i dont know what his actual stats were, just what I saw) combined with O line penaltes kill offensive drives that we would otherwise march right down the field on.

they have shite defenses (outside of Oregon). their offense keeps them in the games and wouldn't be a top 25 team without the points
Hard to win a national championship with a shite defense buddy. Not sure if you noticed the little streak that Bama has going

And if so it will be the worst coaching job ever by Miles.

Not disagreeing with you, but the point is you dont win Championships with a shitty defense. At this point you score all you can and hope for the best.

The difference was we began making them settle for FGs in 2nd half because we controlled the clock and took them out of rhythm.

so they were able to drive right down our throats then ran out of rhythm after the first 40 yards?
We got away with some pass interference calls just like they did.
No one is suggesting that we shouldn't run if we are getting 15 ypc.
