Diamond Dallas PAge was on the Adam Carolla Podcast the other day and talked about this movie. I'm not a wrestling fan but I do love a good documentary and this is certainly that. I found it on a torrent and grabbed it in about 7 minutes.

Page alos talked about his Diamond Dallas Page Yoga program. Seems he is bring a bunch of old beat down wrestelers to life with this program. DDP Yoga

synopsis
In a rare foray into documentary filmmaking, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer's Imagine Entertainment produced this behind-the-scenes look at professional wrestling, shot on digital video by director (Barry W. Blaustein), screenwriter of several hit Eddie Murphy comedies. An unabashed wrestling fan since childhood, Blaustein nevertheless takes an unflinching look at the dark underbelly of the "sport," as he shadows a trio of wrestlers representing three very different aspects of the profession. Mick Foley is a superstar shown to be the complete opposite of "Mankind," his successful wrestling character. At work, Mankind is a bloodthirsty animal, but when his mask is off, he's a loving, doting father clearly worshipped by his two young kids, who are traumatized when they witness Foley being bloodied at an Anaheim, California, event. Terry Funk is a portrait of what Foley could become, a former legend now at the end of his career and in desperate need of knee surgery, but continuing to perform dangerous stunts in the ring. Jake "The Snake" Roberts, on the other hand, travels in second-class wrestling circles, a recovering drug addict who has a painful reconciliation with his daughter. Blaustein also interviews the World Wrestling Federation's boastful bigwig Vince McMahon. McMahon later tried to block the release and promotion of the film.

I saw it, it's quite good. Makes you feel sorry for Jake the Snake but apparently he's turned his life around since then.

I saw it in the theater too. Forever Hardcore is another similar wrestling documentary if you're into that. Both were pretty good.

Awesome movie. That Heyman speech right before their first PPV was crucial.

Excellent documentary, one of my favorites. Bret Hart: Wrestling With Shadows is another great one. Here's the free link to it...

Great doc. Last time I checked, it's on Youtube. I wish they'd do a newer one.

The work DDP has done with Scott Hall and Jake the Snake is nothing short of incredible.

these are the gold standard for wrestling docs.

theres a pretty decent WWE doc on netflix featuring Bret and Shawn, sitting down and talking about all the history between them. its kinda long, and most of it is the interviews and not the match highlights, but its fascinating listening to them burry the hatchet, talk about all the behind the scene politics, etc..

That's a damn good documentary. You can see where all the Jake the Snake stuff was taken whole hog for "The Wrestler".
