How'd he eat? That looks like a good young one, them older ones can get a little tough.

That's the interesting part. I think they come into the pen, move the bowl to the edge of the fence, go back outside and then leisurely eat through the fence from the outside!
The dog is old and has bad heart failure. Even if healthy, he'd prolly be no match for a coon.
