Around 11:30 today we put my buddy to rest. By far the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my lifetime. I'm at peace with it because I know he is no longer suffering. It's gonna take some time getting use to not seeing him when I go back home but I'll always remember the good times we had together. Once again I appreciate the kind words and prayers.

Sorry for your loss bud. That's a hard moment, but you did right. Our dogs absolutely become a member of the family. I feel like God put them here to be companions, helpers, lookouts, and protectors. However, they are only meant to be with us for a short time.

My wife's dog (feist mix...looked like a little lab in the face, but had a curled tail and a black spotted tongue) took off after something in the yard Christmas Eve night this past year, and ended up getting hit on the highway. As poor as the timing was, there is always a silver lining. We found out a week later that wife was pregnant.

We got a Brittany in February and absolutely love her
