Hello, my wife and I prefer to go check out games rather than picking a family to spend time with on Thanksgiving. This way neither side can be too upset. For years we made the drive down from Joplin, Missouri to Dallas to watch them play on Thanksgiving. The new stadium is nice, but I really don't like watching games there. Doesn't matter where your seats are, you can't help but watch the game on TV. If I'm going to do that, I might as well stay home.

Anyway last year we started our quest to go see various stadiums/crowds. We took the opportunity to cheer against Nebraska for old times sake as we went to Iowa. Was fun (other than horrible football quality) but too cold. So this year we've decided we are going to come watch a game in BR.

We've went to the Oklahoma State game at LA-LA a few years ago and had a great time. A few folks there kept telling us, "you think this is good, come to an LSU game." That stuck with us and we are excited to see game day at LSU.

I have a ton of questions as I've not done much research as of yet. Is there a good place to stay? We will probably try to get in town early enough on Thursday to watch Dallas play. I have no clue if there are any places open to eat/drink watch the game. We plan on staying Thursday night and Friday night and heading home on Saturday. It is a fairly early game, so how will that impact tailgating? Normally early games suck the life out of the crowd. Hope that doesn't happen.

And yes, I live about 90 minutes from Fayettnam, but I am not a fan of Arkansas. I'll be cheering for LSU. My wife and I are long time OSU season ticket holdersand over the last 5 years, we've missed a grand total of 6 OSU games (home, road, bowl).

Thanks for any information provided.
