Right now who has 1st round potential?

As of this moment, on our squad who do you see that has 1st round potential.
IMO
La'el Collins (6'5" 315)- The dude's just been spectacular this season. Barring any sort of injury, I just don't see how he doesn't go in the 1st with tackles at such a premium in today's NFL. He's an absolute road grader and plays with a mean streak that's rare in today's game.
NFL Comparrison- Russell Okung (6'5" 310)
Projection- 5-17 overall
Anthony Johnson (6'3" 294)- He doesn't have the flashy stats but scouts drool when watching his film. When he goes to the combine I think his draft stock will shoot up due to his freakish ability.
NFL Comparison- Darnell Dockett (6'4" 290)
Projection- 15-30 overall
Zach Mettenberger (6'5" 235)- The most important position on the field. Mett already has the arm strength that all NFL squads covet but now he's added excellent foot work, impeccable decision making and deadly accuracy to his assault.
NFL Comparison- Matt Schaub (6'5" 239)
Projection- 10-40 overall
Odell Beckham Jr. (6'0" 193)- A mix between Tavon Austin and Early Doucet this guy can absolutely DO IT ALL. His all purpose yardage speaks for itself, to call him electric would be a disservice to his ability. After the Marquise Lee, Sammy Watkins and Jordan Mathews that #4 WR position in the draft is wide open. I wouldn't be surprised if ODBJ or Juice went in the late first.
NFL Comparrison- Steve Smith (Car. 5'9" 185)
Projection- Around 20-40 overall
Jarvis Landry- The human highlight reel himself. It seem's like every game he makes a catch that frankly seems just flat unfair. He has monstrous hands, runs incredibly crisp routes and simply does not drop passes.
NFL Comparison- Reggie Wayne (6'0" 198)
Projection- 20-40 overall
Ego Ferguson- If he continues on his rapid tear I could easily see him being a late 1st rounder. He's been overshadowed by freak much of his career but Ego is quickly making his presence felt, he has excellent size and an explosive 1st step out of the snap.
NFL Comparison- Will Smith(6'3" 282)
Projection- 25-50 overall
Jeremy Hill (6'2" 235)- Man you talk about an absolute bull. He has deceptive speed and can just flat plow over guys. Arm tackles won't slow down this monster. He's a 1st round talent, will likely be the top back if he declares but his off the field issues and the way RB's are drafted in today's NFL I don't think he get's into the 1st. With that being said, whoever gets the beast will be getting a steal.
NFL Comparison- Jamal Lewis (5'11" 245)
Projection- 30-50 overall

Decent rundown, but the Schaub comparison for Mett is pretty off, at least from a physical talent standpoint.
Schaub, while great, has an average arm, if not worse. Mett's arm is much closer to Stafford's, though he's not nearly as mobile.

Just use the obvious Joe Flacco comparison.

Good analysis. As of today, there are three players with someone grading them as a 1st rd pick. Collins, Freak and Ego. Mettenberger, OBJ and Landry could possibly move into the 1st rd grade category. That doesn't mean all of those players get drafted that high, it just means they are in that distinction.

I love this site. From all of these threads these are the names I have seen mentioned as 1st rounders:
Mett
Collins
Hill
OBJ
Landry
Rasco
Freak
Ego
Barrow
Loston
Maybe Goodell will have a special LSU only draft as it seems we might have the entire 1st round to us.
Just enjoy the season and hope these guys make NFL rosters in the future.

Zach Mettenberger--deadly accuracy to his assault.

Can only see Mett and Collins possibly going in the first. Mett isnt there yet.

None of these are first rounders at the moment. Collins and Hill are longshot, but MAYBE at best.
You guys are sick.

you forgot Allen. A number of people think he should go in the 1st Rd.

Yeah him too. I swear I think someone even said Copeland one time. Hopefully I'm not remembering correctly or the internet automatically banned that guy from ever getting on again

I'm just glad Colby Delahoussaye can't declare early this year.

Hill is more comparable to Stephen Jackson.
Landry reminds me of Hines Ward. Physical WR with great hands and can lay people out.

That's exactly how I described last week but now I think he's more like Chad Henne.
IMO at the moment. Collins and Hill are the only shots. If Hill can consistently look dominant over Alabama, Florida, and play big in all our big games, there is no back who should go before him. He's 6'2 234 and runs between a 4.48 and 4.52. Runs with good power, amazing balance for a big man, and his vision is elite on the cut back. Collins is definitely first round barring injury and Hill is late second round early first right now.
Out of Antonio Andrews, the Toledo back, Bishop Sankey, James White, Lance Seastrunk, DAT, Charles Sims, Ka'Deem Carey, Henry Josey, Ladarius Perkins, Jeff Scott, Tre Mason, Jordan Hall, Henry Josey, Carlos Hyde, Fitz Touissant, Ameer Abdullah, Dri Archer, Marion Grice, Venric Mark, and Jeremy Hill, which would you pick first?
Jarvis Landry would finish the season over 1000 yards and over 11 touchdowns. He is better than Watkins IMO but with big arse Evans, he will be only the 5th WR taken. I repeat that height is the only thing holding back his stock at this moment, and it shouldn't. All 3 of last year's WR first rounds are looking good to great.
