They definitely should've gotten rid of him, but their next two hires were atrocious.

With Fulmer, Tennessee was at least a threat to make the SECCG. They haven't been close since he left.

ETA: I think Tennessee is in the same boat as Nebraska now. Just need to accept that their days of contending for national titles is gone. They make sneak into a CCG every once in awhile, but past advantages are gone.

Kiffin wasnt a bad hire at UT. He went 7-6? with good recruiting. Then he got offered more money at a bigger program and his dream school.
