The Morrison's bought it (North Farm) from a prominent Baton Rouge family while it was still in timber. They cleared and developed it into a farm.

In 1998 they sold a shade over 42,000 ac to a group of Chicago investors. Those investors spun off a few thousand acres around the perimeter, but kept the farm otherwise intact. It sold to the current owners in 2005, who added a few hundred acres. Then sold off a few thousand last year.

The Chicago investors group was the one that enrolled Honey Brake into WRP.
