a few more former hornets crack the countdown. Still no MT23, DX30, Carl Landry, or CP3 here, though.
As far as Pelicans: Holiday, Evans, Gordon, Anderson, or Brow yet. 5 top-150 players?

in relation to the 2k14 ratings thread...Marc Gasol checks in at 14 on NBArank. Al Jefferson is shockingly lower.

I like gasol more because he's a great defender/passer
14 is about right though

Yeah as in a top 20 player in the league. He's better than Al Jefferson.

didn't know whether to include Jerryd Bayless as a former Hornet or psudo-former Hornet. I think Squeaky played more games than him

MT23 checks in at 131.

If you go to view by team, it shows the order of the remaining players (without the rank, of course).
ESPN has the remaining Pels ranked:
1. Davis
2. Holiday
3. Anderson
4. Gordon
5. Evans

The Gentleman checks in at 115.
Good for him, but somehow Victor Oladipo ranks higher than him?

Starting to look like 5 top 100 players. Interesting article from Michael Pellissier at BSS about NBA Rank from last year and making the playoffs.

Trend 3: Having 4 players in the top 100
Qualifiers: San Antonio, Memphis, Oklahoma City, Miami, Indiana, Denver, Dallas, Chicago, Brooklyn, and Boston
Success rate: 90%
The only qualifier in this category that didn’t make the playoffs was Dallas, whose best player, Dirk Nowitzki, missed 29 games (noticing a trend here?) and was working himself back into form much of the season. Dallas missed the playoffs by 4 games.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Pelicans have 5 top 80 players. Of the remaining players yet to be named for the Pelicans the lowest ranked last season was Holiday at #73. We know he will be ranked higher than that. The lowest player left to be named on the Pelicans is Tyreke, who was #69 last season and is coming off of his most efficient season, so if his ranking does drop it won't be by much.
ETA: The Pelicans could also possibly qualify for trend #2, last season Ryno was ranked #50, I don't think he did anything to make his drop lower than that, then again I wouldn't be surprised if he was ranked in the mid 50's.

5 Pelicans in the top 90 now.
oh and JR Smith is the first former Hornet in the top 100.

Tyreke checking in at #79. Too low IMO, he was ranked #69 before last season, then went on to have his best season since he was a rookie.
