I'll agree with that. I think he and his band are pretty talented. Not what I'd listen to on a daily basis, but I don't mind them at all.

Zac Brown consistently has one or two songs on his albums that are just absolute dynamite, usually when he lets the band cut loose and strut their stuff. And those songs usually don't fit into country, but have more of a rock feel to them.
Too bad the rest of the album is usually the very same pop country trash he's disparaging.

Same could be said today about Keith Urban or Taylor Swift. They are good musicians, but their music is too pop for me.
I'm not hating on the guys I listed above, but our parents were probably having the same discussion (although not on a internet forum) about how those guys were "ruining country" and turning it into "pop." Pop in mainstream country is nothing new, its just more prevalent now.

I like ZBB. Sure, they are pop-esque but they sure as hell don't stoop to Jason Aldean levels of frivolous songwriting. You can tell they put some effort into their musicianship, which I can respect. Not to mention, some of their songs are actually really good.
