Volunteer fans are 5-6k deep in Oregon right now.

Pretty impressive. School doesn't start until Sep 30th so a majority of the students aren't on campus yet. All the Vols snatched up those tickets quick. I've seen hundreds of Vols here already.

while i was in h.s. we owned a pizza jt. i had the bigscreen tv on the lsu game and there were a few vol fans in the restaurant wanting to watch the tennessee game. they paid me 300 bucks to change the channel. no shite.

How does that affect games and attendance?

Auburn was on quarters when I was there and we started mid september but all students were on campus is august

Should be 7k+ for kick off.

I was a little surprised myself to hear that many people made the trip. My buddy is out there right and said Portland is full of Vol fans right now too, and that the variety of beer is amazing

Can't beat a trip to the Pacific NW. Went up for LSU-Washington a few years ago. Great part of the country to visit.

In the old days before the BCS, the bowl games loved to host Tennessee because they traveled in great numbers and spent money.
