That's the whole point. You can't know. You do know what's possible. That wasn't a close call. The deer were right on one another. No way you make a great shot on #1 with at least a great chance of hitting #2.

I generally just don't agree with the rest.

I usually agree with you on things, but I have to disagree with your statement that this was the worst case scenario. That kid will have a memory with his father he'll never forget. I'm sure they both learned a lesson. I think we all agree it wasn't a great shot to take, but i think the attack by you and others on the father is unwarranted. The father could be a far worse sportsman than this guy. Lighten up a little.
