What about Olive and Twist? Mainly for drinks. Isn't it kind of upscale?? They do have small plates.

Stroube's has great food and a pretty good beer selection for a restaurant, but not "lots" and it is all bottles IIRC.

I was going to suggest Stroube's as well, even though they don't have anything on tap. But they have an above average bottle selection.

Restaurant IPO right down the street has an all local tap selection, and new chef Scott Varnadoe describes his menu as upscale, down South. Won't call it an upscale place, but it's more so than many others.

Chimes would be the best tap house/restaurant combo.

I've never been .. looks like a decent enough place. Bet it's crawling with women on Friday nights.

Jesus. Even the losers who live in Baton Rouge might be able to get laid in that little stretch!

Imagine how much you could slay if you lived in the apartments right above.

About damn time... no clue why they didn't start that from the beginning. Either full table service or no table service... the half table service was just full on retard.

Still like pulling teeth to get an updated beer menu there. So frustrating when chalkboard only notes a few beers, and they don't update their beermenus.com page. Then you ask the waitress and you are referred to their ancient bound and laminated menu that they spent way too much money on.

I wouldn't call it upscale. It's no dive but not upscale. Worst sazerac ever poured was given to me there one night.Tasted like a glass full of bitters.

Galatoire's Bistro and Restaurant IPO have decent, but small selections of beer on tap.
I think the way to go may be splitting things up and eating at Beausoleil or Mansour's, then hitting the Cove or The Bulldog.

True... but, considering they are brand new, lets give them the benefit of the doubt that they are probably trying to see what does and doesn't work for them with a kitchen the size of a walk in closet.
