It looks like their new iPhones are underwhelming the market.
Down $28.75 as I post this.

I just do not get why investors are not jumping all over this. They are sitting on piles of money. The innovation is clearly back with the colored phones.

Luckily I sold a portion of my holdings on Monday. I had full sell order at 519. I ended up selling 25% of my holdings at 505. I may buy back in if it drops another 5 or so %. I think it still has room for growth/sustain profits.

It's obvious you didn't get your MBA or you wouldn't be talkin shite dude.
PM is up 2% right now.

i got rid of it last week
I just thought the hype wasn't there for the release of the new products. I think it will continue to drop. We might see a small bounce with the release of IOS7, but i don't see much happening till at least next year when they come up with a big screen Iphone. I might buy it when it goes below the 400$ mark

Apple really needs to hit a homerun soon.

I think AAPL has seen it's high for a long time at the 700 area.
The iPhone was a huge invention. Companies don't hit HR's like that on a regular basis.

I agree. It's still the most valuable publically traded company. It doesn't really need to hit home runs. It just needs to sustain profits to maintain its price. If that means selling lower end models to china and india, so be it. Profits will continue to increase from their app store as devices are sold. I don't see it going back to the 300s again but I'll likely buy if it does.
ETA: Nevermind. I just bought back in at 469. This thing is going through the roof again!!! ;)

The 5C was designed with the sole consumer target being china. The colors. The price. The release date. The numerous new Apple stores. All point to Apple's goal to double and triple their presence there by gaining the users who have yet to get a smart phone. The US is saturated. Almost everyone getting this phone will be upgrades from older models.

Okay, can somebody tell me where this sudden hate of ThaBigFella comes from? I've been seeing this a lot lately on the MTB. The guy apparently seems to be doing well for himself and was patient enough to explain his conservative dividend reinvestment strategies here multiple times. Granted he had his favorite stocks - PM, Visa, KO etc. But at least he wasn't pumping some penny stocks.
He also seems to have suddenly stopped posting. Did something happen that I don't know about that has led people to start making fun of him?

I'm in this boat.
Yeah he comes off brash every now and then and is wrong about some calls, but he posts a lot and is helpful for people that asks questions. Him and I will disagree a lot because I'm mainly institutional fixed income and he's retail equity but we both can be wrong a lot. If it's from him coming off like a "know it all" yea I kind of get it but at least he responds a lot. Plus he doesn't post about bitcoin so that's always good.

You just hate it because you're part of the international banking cabal!

from my understanding, he has said some pretty inane shite about putting the majority of his portfolio into PM.

PMs only about 10% off it's highs so I can't see severe depression here unless he was doing options.

Yeah. He seemed to post daily, and I haven't seen him for a week or two.
But back to AAPL.
WTF?
I don't think they have released all planned projects. I guess investors didn't feel there was anything innovative/groundbreaking just yet with the phone (I know the media is primarily focused on pricing).
...but the fingerprint recognition is just TOO FREAKIN COOL.

I think I remember him saying he owned ~6000 shares of PM at one time. Not sure how big a part of his portfolio that was.

He owns bitcoin, at least I think I remember him saying someone gave it to him.
I don't have a problem with ThaBigFella, FWIW. I think its kind of silly how people on here will blindly follow him. Threads will be going along nicely and ThaBigFella shows up and next you thing you know we all know how many cartons of cigs he sold in his store last week, which is not his fault.
To stay on track with this thread, I remember around the time AAPL was $400 he liked them one week, and not the next. So, with the price where it is now, I guess he was 50% correct.
