Haralson was impressive for just a week in town- the perfect example of veteran experience. After it's all said & done I'm betting Niner fans will be calling his trade for a 7th a big mistake. Not so much what he left there but what he is bringing to a competing contender.
I'm thinking Bunkley's injury will be the door of opportunity that John Jenkins is gonna bust down. He was high on my list of hopeful draftees. I'll go so far to say he could easily end up being a much larger NFL star than he ever was at GA.
Jordan looks flat out ready to step up to dominate All pro level. Not every HOFer starts their career off on fire. He was graded as an elite 3-4DE out of Cal. The Saints took him at #24 even as a mismatch to the 4-3 cuz he was just that good of a baller. Put him in a 3-4 and his skill set jumps off the screen.
A solid pash rush is the single most missing component over the past few years. If they get 40+ sacks I'd bet money on getting a #1 seed in the playoffs. 3 in Game 1. 3 x 16= 48.

I would add Hicks with all the hype. He wasn't as consistent as Jordan but there were plays where he looked to be was tossing people off of him like rag dolls.
If D-line play keeps up like that it will mask our shallow depth at OLB

quote:I wouldn't go that far. It's more a commentary of how stacked the 49'ers are on defense. They don't really miss him.
