Boardwalk Empire Season 4 Premiere Thread (Tonight at 9 pm ET)

Figured I'd get this going early for the folks who have been anxiously awaiting BE's arrival.
Do you guys want to do a season long thread or episode threads (FWIW, I prefer episode threads and it worked well last season)?

HBO Boardwalk Empire Season 3 Revisited Show (14:31)*
*Just a FYI, the end of the video has a little Season 4 preview that starts at the 13:30 mark.
HBO Boardwalk Empire Season 4: Business Trailer (Latest Preview)
Where we left off:
- Nelson Van Alden is in Cicero with his now wife/former babysitter Sigrid. After a prohibition agent starts snooping around, Sigrid whacks him with a pot and Van Alden smothers him (even though he was just there to return an iron
). He goes to flower shop gangster Dean O'Banion to get help with hiding the body. He's now indebted to one of the biggest gangsters in Chicago and Al Capone's rival. While selling alcohol for O'Banion, he gets picked up by Al Capone's people and asked for details on O'Banion.
- Nucky uses the distillery he acquired mid-way through Season 3 to get out of a jam while in hiding (Joe Masseria's men tries to take him out at the hotel in Atlantic City). He essentially sells it to Rothstein under the premise that he'll ask Joe Masseria to back off (via a heroin deal) and Joe proceeds to pull his men out of Atlantic City leaving Gyp high and dry. Nucky later makes a phone call to Gaston Means asking him to arrest the man running the distillery, which is now Arnold Rothstein. This is all due to Rothstein leaving Nucky high and dry after the explosion on the Boardwalk (manufactured by Gyp with Masseria's manpower and with Gillian's guidance of where Nucky would be that night) that incinerates Billie and Babette's club (which Chalk White now wants and apparently gets after helping Nucky hide out from Masseria/Gyp).
- After the phenomenal sequence of badassery events (thanks to Nucky's little deal), Harrow takes Jimmy's son to Julia and her Father then walks off into the night.
- The last time we see Lucky Luciano and Meyer Lansky, Lucky has been set up by Arnold Rothstein over the heroin (the undercover cop that busted him) and is not a happy camper. Lansky manages to calm him down, but it's apparent that shite has officially gotten real between Luciano and Rothstein.
- Chalky White and Al Capone wipe out Joe Masseria's men who are headed out of Atlantic City.
- Our favorite prostitute Gillian Darmody is drugged by Gyp. She's found by Nucky and Eli when they go to take care of Masseria's men (not knowing Harrow has been there first) somehow still alive. They find one of Gyp's guys who lives and makes the deal that ends our favorite villain. Nucky has him send Gyp's body back to Masseria.
- Nucky goes to Brooklyn to try to get Margaret back (she fled with the kids after Owen returned from Masseria in a box
) but she turns him down despite living in a tenement.
- At the end of Season 3, Nucky has essentially pissed off all the big players and is left with a small circle of people he "trusts": Chalky White, Eli, and Mickey Doyle.
Season 4 picks up 8 months after the above events in 1924.

Trusting Mickey is going to bite him in the arse. I'm surprised the character has survived this long, but something tells me he isn't making it out of this season.

Absolutely. I'm regularly shocked he hasn't been whacked at this point. Especially with that damn laugh.

I love Mickey. He's solid for some comedic relief.

I'm glad she did.
I thought I had watched the season 3 finale last week, but was wrong. Since Belle gave these run downs, I was like wait I don't remember some of this, so I had to go find out if I had rewatched the finale or not. Sure enough, I had not. I had seen the second to last episode thinking it was the finale. Season 3 finale comes on at 7 p.m. CST on HBO2.
So, there you go Belle, you've done your good deed for the day for bringing this to my attention.

Damn straight.
Actually it wasn't all that hard. I had recently watched the season 3 finale and then just kind of typed it up as I watched the season 3 recap earlier. HBO does a pretty good job in their recaps of fleshing everything out.
And glad to know it wasn't tl;dr for some folks Pro.
