Good morning everyone.
This is my first time tailgating at an LSU game this weekend and I am trying to find an area of campus that would be good to setup at. I am looking for an area where I can park a couple cars and setup a canopy and a table.
Thank you. Any advice that can be provided is greatly appreciated.
Ben

Get there really early and park between Nicholson and the CEBA RV lot. I think that is still free parking. It's also a good place to set up a tailgate close to your car. Most other free parking places are are away from everything

Not many places where you can park multiple cars unless you want to pay for it, get there super early, or tailgate in BFE. I would suggest either the HAyfield lots by river road or the old front 9 lot by Burbank/Nicholson.
Everywhere else you need a parking pass or you would have to get there early and could maybe get 1/2 cars near you. These places are Ag Center, Law school, Uhigh, or Kirby Smith.
Good luck &

you might consider parking in the hay lots off River road and preloading and eating out of your trunk...then put on your comfy shoes and walk around , allll around with a cooler with wheels.

I was going to say something similar. Go down Burbank and there is a street you can turn into heading into the field. Park somewhere in there and setup. What we did for years until we upgraded.

Depending on atmosphere you are looking for, there are lots of nice spots on the front of the law school area. You can't have your car right there by you, but you can park for free close by.
It's not right in the action, so if you are looking for a bit more rowdy, it might not fit.

Whatever you do, don't set up near my tailgate spot. It's my land, I paid for it (with my taxes, of course), and I have been tailgating there for ten years. Poach my land, and there will be bloodshed. You will be drawn, quartered, and hung on a pike at the four corners of my tailgate for all to see.
Then, I will offer you a beer, an armadillo egg, and some tasty alligator sauce picquante or jambalaya.

Good advice...otherwise, you can drive down Nicholson Extension. To your right are the RV lots. There's plenty of grass between the road and the lots on which to set up. Thing is, no place to park. Stop. Unload fast and park elsewhere.

Thank you. Is 8:00 early enough you think to be able to get a spot?

I think the risk of suffering and death is worth the reward of beer and good food

I heard this once: "Don't threaten me with beer and puzzy".

8:00 is early enough to park for a night game, but you might not get all your cars together in a nice spot under a tree or something. It's easy to walk your stuff to a spot in that area though.

Well there are!
But they are swarming with fire ants and people driving on Highland scream and yell obscenities at you. Oh and there is no drinking allowed in that location.

You and 90,000 other people.
My only tailgating "rule" is don't be a dick. Make new friends with the people around you. If someone comes up to you and tells you they've been tailgating in your spot since '82 just say "man, that's a long time" and just make some small talk. You'll have new friends in no time.

or Kirby Smith.
Kirby smith parking lot has construction going on.. Nice of LSU to take away a portion of the only free parking lot on that side of campus.
The systematic dismantling of tailgating continues.
