450 yards and 37 points. We could have had 56 points if not for the PI non-calls and Beckham dropping that TD pass and the penalties. We gave up 260 and 21 points on a KO return, a fumble at the 6, and after Ego's late hit penalty.

I know that you can't say that the score should have been 56-6 or anything, but I am saying that if we fix a few things and don't make some very fixable mistakes, this game is a complete blow out. As it is, we outgain them by 200 yards.

This is the best the offense has looked in years and we were without Hill, it was our first game, and we were going against a top 15 defense in college football and the #20 ranked team in the country.

I am satifisied. Yes, we could have won by much more, but I will take this all day long.

Now, we have 2 weeks to get better before SEC play opens.

We have to clean up the mistakes before Georgia, ALA. We extended a drive with a roughing the QB, fumbled inside our own 20.

But I think that's first game stuff. This team could be really good. Can't wait to get Hill back.

There were a few obvious mistakes. Stalling in the red zone on the first two drives and a costly fumble come to mind.

But all and all the offense was spectacular. Its very encouraging to see the coaches aren't afraid to have Mettenberger throw long, and he appears to lack the worse aspects of our previous two starters.

I agree. This is a really good team, but HEALTH needs to be emphasized. I do think this team can be a contender only of the o-line and big-name defenders like Johnson remain healthy.

Anybody who watched the offense today after the last five years and didn't think "this is leaps and bounds better than what we've watched" has little to no clue what they are watching while staring at the television set/sitting in their stadium seat.

Passes were CRISP. Routes were PRECISE. Blocking was SOLID. Runs were good. Three large mistakes led to 21 points for TCU. Can't make those in the future, but there is so much good to take away from the game that anyone who is unhappy should really find a new hobby.

First let me say I loved what we saw tonight. However we need to get the running game going. This isn't to say I didn't love the excessive play action, but we need to be able to run.

Landry's TD with 6:09 left when the ball hit him in the thigh and he spun around and scored. That was fricking bad arse.

A win.

Plus lots of mistakes to work on and correct.

A coaches dream scenario frankly.

Very very positive IMO
