Reporter compares it to Shepard's suspension a while back... Miles agrees.

HAHA
I dont really care because the NCAA is a bunch of bs anyway. Soon they will not be governing college football.
But yeah it seems silly that shep got 4 games for talking about an investigation that led to nothing.

Ask dez Bryant how he feels about it. Or AJ green.
I absolutely can't stand the fact that there is zero uniformity/clarity/transparency with the NCAA. Even when precedence has been set, double standards galore etc. what a fricking joke they are.
They sit there with Jiz jars to fill their pockets.

I bet Ohio St isn't very impressed by this ruling.
Personally I think the NCAA is total hypocrisy.
I could care less if JFF sold autographs or not.

Humm. AJ Green, shep, Dez Bryant. It looks like to me that Black players are being treated much more harshly than the white players. How the hell does the NCAA think it is the US court system.

Hmm cam newton was black...
Perhaps it is quarterbacks and heisman caliber players who are treated differently tuthilltiger

This may add a bit of clarity to this subject. NCAA got blind sided

They only play one half at A&M anyways.

NO its players who have access to money to get the right lawyers

it has to do with PROOF.
AJ Green admitted it.
Dez Bryant lied and got caught.
Everyone knows Manziel did it, but without proof they can't nail him.

maybe it appears that way but did it occur to you that they had proof in the bryant and green cases and didn't have proof against manziel? what the hell are the supposed to do? people are innocent until PROVEN guilty. sure, you don't like it but w/o proof they had no choice. a&m suspending him 1/2 game is the bs. if there is no proof there should have been no suspension.

Makes me wonder how many Alabama players were on the list...

how many games did Terell Pryor miss for signing autographs for free tattoos? Didn't he and other players miss a bowl game? I remember the incident but not the penalty...

I've read somewhere that some Texas laws could get the brokers heavily fined or jailtime plus the fact that they couldn't operate that business anymore. This guy Manziel has to be the most luckiest MFer this side of Saban. There's proof but exoosing the truth will frick over a whole bunch of people.
When you look at guys like Manziel you realize life just isn't fair.

Pryor went pro before serving his suspension in college. NFL enforced his suspension though, which was 5 games.
All suspended players were allowed to play in the bowl before serving their suspensions.

Well, they have to try to pretend that what is, for all intents and purposes, a professional sports league (and a damned good one at that) is merely a run of the mill extracurricular activity. I'm not sure any governing body could pull that off without getting egg on their face from time to time. Though the NCAA does seem to have been unable go keep up with how big the game has become and how much $$ is involved.
