What I'm saying is Landon isolated himself..

How long has he known he was going to Bama then? Well, I'm glad he hasn't established a bond with them. Seems weird though. Why wouldn't you try to recruit good players to your school?
In state guys (and 1 OOS) do talk to him regularly but he separated himself from them as of late.

Why isolate himself? So he doesn't get swayed?

Guilt, shame is likely but at the end of the day he's doing what he wants to do. He shouldn't go to lsu because we think he should, I'm just glad he is doing it early

Yep, it's better this way. Hopefully we'll flip Jamarco Jones.

We can try and put a list together of viable options, I'll make a thread tomorrow

No offense to the young man, but he's over-thinking the situation. He can go to his home state school and be a hometown hero. He can go to Alabama and have the same opportunities he would have at LSU. I can understand a kid wanting to go to say, Notre Dame, if he's Catholic, or to an Ivy League school for academics, or even a Hawaii for the locale, but not sure I get why a kid spurns his large, successful home state university for an Alabama, or a Florida, or a whatever.

How have Edinburgh and Washington looked so far?

Like it or not, Bama is in a special class all by themselves and has a better recent track record for olineman development.
I love Les, but playing for likely the best HC in NCAA history does have a draw. It's NOT Alabama and its heritage, it's simply football success........
Remember, we don't have problems poaching in other states, so turnabout is fair play.
And, until the young man proves his true worth, there's no loss in him not choosing LSU. The only concrete way to close the state borders is to win. Do that and you galvanize recruiting.

That's why I find the inevitable meltdown so humorous.
LSU can loot and steal from other states, but when it's done to Louisiana, Les lost control and can't recruit well at all.

I don't melt down when kids go elsewhere, but here's my reasoning on why it's justifiable for LSU fans to feel the way we do about in-state kids while taking kids from other states:
There is no program in the country that can offer more from a football perspective than LSU. There are about 5 (maybe) that can offer the same.
When we're taking kids from Illinois, North Carolina, or New Jersey, it's not the same as a kid leaving Louisiana to go somewhere else. LSU is simply a better program than schools in just about every other state. Kids in Louisiana don't need to leave to play for a premier program.

Nail on the fricking head. These sunshine pumpers that defend les at all costs from every angle know it too.
