I mean what message are they sending with a one-half suspension? It's utterly ridiculous
If you feel you are warranted to suspend the kid, then give him something real. If you have nothing on him, then leave it alone.
This is like a one foot in, one foot out sort of response from the NCAA. Almost as if they felt pressure to do SOMETHING
Oh, and I guess ESPN gets another feather in the hat for this one too?

that they can prove he violated a small rule but not a big rule? i agree it comes off a bit silly but the rules are on the books and he did clearly violate the lesser even if they cant prove the higher standard for a real punishment.
