Absolutely.

I agree that would not be good for Roman Harper to lead the team in tackles, but his strength is not in coverage. Unless Wilson and Galette show up this year healthy, and playing phenomenal, I don't see great play from our linebackers this year. More than likely Ryan will use Harper in more of a run support role and run more 3-3-5 with Greer, Lewis, Robinson/Jenkins (nickel), Vacarro and Harper. This lends more to Harper's strengths and he is a solid player, regardless of what the peanut gallery says.

I see Lofton leading the team with tackles again.

It seems like we're all pretty optimistic about the potential of these two and are leaning more to the positive. If they don't pan I think most will be supremely disappointed, myself included. Also, if these two suck, our defense will be tough to watch

I have very high hopes for Galette. Wilson hasn't shown as much but the potential and athleticism is surely there. Having this guy to most likely get huge playing time is great. You've got three right there along with guys like Richardson and Martin who can provide some snaps to spell the starters. For our first year moving to a 34, I'd say even with injuries we still have enough personnel to run it and run it effectively. And that's pretty damn impressive.

That would be my second choice. He's a solid player, but its a little bit of a transition from a sole MLB to a ILB. He's still a great player, glad we got him.

I'm pretty sure they'll be solid contributors with some experience, but OLB is so difficult to play in a 3-4. I'm approaching this season as an old school Saints fan - I don't care if we get to the Superbowl, I just look forward to us pissing in the Falcon's cherios. Cautiously optimistic.

Best any team can hope for is playoffs. After that it's anyone's game.

The leading tacklers will likely be Lofton and Harper again. Harper tackles a lot of people. That's what he does.

Vaccaro has been tackling a lot of people. I think he could potential be up there.

I know one guy that won't be leading the team in made tackles and that's Malcom in the Middle.

I had so much hope for the guy after his rookie season. He clearly is not meant to be a safety.

How is Malcolm Jenkins the worst player on defense?
I hate to say it but it has been Jabari Greer.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time but before he got injured I thought he was playing good football but that's just my opinion.

That's fine...I think we should just feel fortunate that there isn't a Sed Ellis or Jason David to be found on this defense.
