Im sure its intentional, the purpose eludes me though

imagine if it ended like the departed. hank gets walt, is going to turn him in, gets offed by gomie, saying hes with lydia. walt offs gomie, goes home, jesse offs walt

I'm not sold that it's intentional but I think if it is it's to show just how firmly Walt's hands are squeezing Hank's balls into a voice-lowering blue plum hue.
Also I retract what I said to Hugo about Hank and Jesse. I now think that Hank tailed Jesse to Walt's house after Gomie pulled the tail. Jesse will somehow get trapped in the house after starting the fire. Hank will see smoke, call in the FD (maybe put it out himself to keep things quiet, but less likely) so the house just has interior damage, and then save Jesse.
The episode ends with Hank finding out how much Jesse now hates Walt (Mr. White is the devil), and us left hanging on whether saving his life is enough for Jesse to help him. I haven't figured out if the fire exposes all of them yet, or if that comes later.

has it been posted that on talking bad vince hinted that the white family would be taking a "staycation" and showed a pic of skylar and walt in a hotel room bed.
maybe the house does get fire damage?
ETA or maybe todd and his uncles show up at the house while jessie is there?

I put the subtitles on just so I can fully understand everything being said

This is what is throwing me for a loop. I am almost 100% that Jesse starts the fire, and Hank shows up, but how that doesn't lead to the lid being blown off the whole thing doesn't make sense. How could Walt and Co. stay at a hotel if it's known he's Heisenberg?
Posted on 8/27/13 at 1:27 pm to TheDrunkenTigah
good point. surely if DEA knew he was Heisenberg there would be flyers and it would be on the news and such.

Whether he starts a fire or not, I don't think anyone would want to stay in a house that would have that strong of a gasoline smell

In the flash forward, it looks like some time has passed since the house was left empty. everything is overgrown, empty pool, skaters galore, dead brush, etc.
So, its completely possible they get put in a hotel and someone doesn't write Heisenberg on the wall until a later date.. If the interior catches fire I think the Heisenberg would be distorted or charred to some degree instead of looking so new.
I don't see Jessie getting trapped in the house. I think he lights it up and takes off. Hank sees the fire and calls it in but continues to trail jesse.

it was kinda weak. he checked, realized he didnt have his weed, then pulled out his cigs and, now knowing that walt killed mike, realized that walt was the one that had the gorilla pickpocket the ricin cigarette, not gus.
pretty big leap imo. the weed in the office was purely a plot device for him to figure that out. my only complaint
Weak to the viewers because for us Brock's poisoning was two years ago. The fact that the vast majority of posts trying to recall the ricin/LOTV incident at the time of Sunday's episode had huge errors in them is proof of this.
However, for Jesse that was only a few months ago AND he's been obsessing about it/the boy in the desert/his suspicion that Walt is playing him THAT WHOLE TIME. Given that when it first happened his initial suspicion was that Walt had Huell lift it and then poisoned Brock himself (exactly what actually happened) it isn't hard to believe that he went back to his initial conclusion.
The fact that Walt didn't actually use the ricin is irrelevant. Jesse immediately knew Huell took his weed, which confirmed in his mind the initial theory when it first happened that Walt was playing him. Then all he had to do was realize what the odds were of Walt lifting the ricin and then Brock just happening to get poisoned accidently at the same time and he's got it. He already believed Walt was playing him, he already knows he's lying about Mike and he had already suspected in the past the truth of what actually happened. Honestly, the cigarettes made it a little TOO obvious. It wouldn't have been any less of a stretch for him to just realize once he knew his weed had been lifted what happened. The writers clearly put the cigs in there to not leave any doubt for the viewer and many STILL didn't get it.
IMO, people upset about this are one's who just don't remember the series as well as they thought they did and are now trying to preserve their pride by saying it doesn't make sense. It makes absolutely perfect sense.

I think it is more with what you said and I think people are losing track of time in the real world compared to the Breaking Bad world. His 52nd birthday happens sometime in the next 5 episodes while his 51st birthday was in the 4th episode of this season.
The only weird thing to me is that this show STARTED on Walt's 50th birthday, while 51 and 52 hit in the same season

Well, considering how much frickin money they had floating around I figured the timeline had sped up. Walt with a mountain of cash and Jesse arse with suitcases of cash and he threw away a suitcase of cash I believe in last season episode.
Dumb arse.

They have already made it clear that at some point there will be a very sudden move ahead several months like there was in "Gliding Over All". The gap likely comes from the time Walt leaves for New Hampshire to when the flashforwards picked up (or shortly before, while he's in NH).
Reading the episode names and brief descriptions, it sounds like Walt leaves the state in the sixth episode of this half-season, the seventh episode is at least in part centered in NH several months later and then the final episode is back in NM.

From the time he had the ten witnesses killed in prison to when Skler shoed him the money in storage was three months. It passed during the "Crystal Blue Persuasion" montage.

I figured there was some sort of time lapse there and that would explain it. Just forgot about that fast forward in that segment you mentioned
There are so many different ways these last episodes can go in my head that I can't choose which one I think is going to happen.

All these damn bandwagon fans that are watching 50 episodes a week can't recall shite
It made perfect sense

In the preview for next week I noticed Jesse walking rather furiously towards a building in an obvious downtown location, my first instinct is that this is the DEA building.
Also, it's obvious Walt is pondering by the side of a hotel pool.

Not just Hank. That bathroom scene with Sky and WW made me think I had gone deft. I turned the damn volume to max and still didn't hear shite...I did hear the commercials (so did everyone else that lives within 100 yards of my house).
