Mojo's work great. I usually have one out in the field and one hoisted up to a powerline with some 30lb test Stren.

mojos do work.. IF places right. you can also have too many in the field. if you have them in wrong spot then they will come in too low

We did that last year with a mojo mallard in the timber. Guy I hunt with is an arborist, he got a weight bag they use for tree branches an tied it to some cord with the decoy on the other end. Slung it up high and hoisted the mojo right under the canopy.
Anyways, doves...I used to cut the side out of a water bottle to make the body/tail profile, spray paint inside grey, hot glue a clothespin to the bottom and clip them to the fences and stuff.
