The only argument the neutral site supporters give is its gods for recruiting.
Then I take it you didn't read about the $2.5 Million payout for EACH Bama and VT at the Chick-Fil-A game.

1. I don't like it either, but we really have no say in it.
2. You're right, if the money dries up because people don't go or stop buying season tickets and watching on TV, that may end the trend, but probably would do much more harm that good overall.
3. We pretty much have to deal with it.
4. Recruiting may or may not be impacted, that's what they say. The reason is money. That's why they happen. The schools each get paid like a home game and the networks pay the schools directly.

One you didn't address was the money. Don't we make almost as much on one of these neutral site games as we would on a home game? If so, it would be better to play two neutral site games than one home and one road game, wouldn't it? And we get a boost to recruiting while playing a high profile opponent on top of it.
Bottom line is that if they weren't good for the schools, then you wouldn't have so many schools playing in them. Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame, Oregon, Michigan, etc. aren't desperate for the exposure, so they must be getting some benefit besides that.

Most people would agree the trip to Seattle and Blacksburg and then their return trip to BR was more fun than a trip over to Dallas or Atlanta.
If I were a season ticket holder id be aggravated.
We have enough shite games on our schedule, actually get decent ooc game and its 1000 miles away.
Sucks., I don't get it.
I'm going to lambaugh though.

Rouge, I would have to change mr drawz if that schedule stayed true. But with this new trend of NS games, I just don't see it.

The only legitimate complaint is losing a home game. But the real issue with that is scheduling too many cupcake OOC at home. When there's only 1 decent OOC game a year, its a lot more noticeable when we move it. If we had 2-3 other decent OOC matchups, nobody would complain about neutral sites. I think they're kinda cool and unique. What other team from the SEC has played in Lambeau?
I think this is what the OP is getting at. I wouldn't mind having neutral site games, but when the OOC home games are UAB, Kent St, and Furman there isnt much to look forward to watching. Why not going back to play Arizona St., Virginia Tech, Oregon St., and Washington type teams in a home and home. Then every few years have the neutral field games.

What do season ticket holders get for their ever increasing costs:
One or two great sec games, two or three mediocre sec games, three flat out shite cupcake games.
You have to realize that this is better than what the other 90% of FBS schools have.

Im tired of fricking playing in texas and losing a home game every year instead of every other year

As such, it's not such an outrageous desire for us to expect to have as many high profile games in that stadium as possible.
So do you really think the Athletic Department is consciously refusing to play OOC games in Tiger Stadium? You act like you know what goes on in terms of negotiations, deals, etc. Ever stop to think maybe OTHER teams don't really want to have to play in Tiger Stadium? It's a complicated issue and it can't be broken down in such simplistic terms, especially by a bunch of random idiots on a message board.

I'd much rather play in Texas than in Atlanta.
I'm not going to the opener this year, but went to the Oregon game and will try to go to the Wisconsin game.

I will be at this one and the wisconsin game. Just cant stand where college football is heading

I just find it laughable that there are posters on here with the mentality of "we should just take it" or "we have it better than 90% of fbs". What's wrong with wanting something better?

You sound like a teenage hipster that discovers a new band that no one knows about, talk about how great they are, then get pissed when they make it big.
You want LSU football to be successful? This is a consequence of that. If you don't like it, ULL season tickets are cheap and they're not scheduling any neutral site games for the foreseeable future.

Same as the "just win baby" crowd when it comes to the schedule talk.

I would prefer a true home and home with Wisconsin. That would be great. However, I prefer playing Wisconsin Houston and Green Bay over not getting any deal done and each team just scheduling crappy home games. In the absence of neutral site games, I suspect you would see more of the latter, so while I share the basic sentiment of the OP, I can't get too worked up about it. I love quality OOC games and if takes neutral sites to accomplish that, then so be it.
