When those teams take the field I'll believe it. Until then these schedules are ever changing.
$10 says we play ou in Dallas.

Lambeau Field is one of the top 2-3 football venues in the world. Its the Wrigley field/Fenway/Yankee Stadium of football. You should not be complaining. Go to a Big 10 game in Madison if you want to see that dump so bad.
The only legitimate complaint is losing a home game. But the real issue with that is scheduling too many cupcake OOC at home. When there's only 1 decent OOC game a year, its a lot more noticeable when we move it. If we had 2-3 other decent OOC matchups, nobody would complain about neutral sites. I think they're kinda cool and unique. What other team from the SEC has played in Lambeau?

What do season ticket holders get for their ever increasing costs:
What % of LSU fans do season ticket holders make up? Why does LSU need to make decisions on its entire football program based solely on them?
Season ticket holders get what they pay for. Season tickets. The demand is there, if they don't think they are getting their money's worth they can do something about it. Stop buying, write letters are two options.
Instead they come here and bitch and moan about how we get to play in Houston (one of if not the largest alumni HQ).

Home and home series are a thing of the past with big programs man. Yeah, you'll make your usual take with the home game, but you'll be losing money having to travel somewhere else. With the neutral sites you get just as much if not more than you would even a home game because of the huge TV money involved.
Yeah, I'd love to take a road trip up to Wisconsin, but what does LSU get from that? If you do a neutral game/series, both schools still make serious bank to alleviate losing the home game.
I realize this is a slippery slope argument, and I'm using it as an absurd example, but at what point does the schedule only have SEC games at home and all OOC games played at neutral sites? Clearly it's more cost effective to play a game at a neutral site than to pay Kent St to come to us. When will we see a home schedule with only 5 or 6 games consisting of only SEC teams with the rest being either on the road in the SEC or neutrals?
I'll be honest...this is no doubt, at least in part, a selfish POV I guess. As an LSU fan, I want to see The Tigers play in Tiger Stadium as much as possible. It is, after all, "The cathedral of college football." Plus I tend to think these neutral site games take away some of the mystique of doing that at the end of the season during bowl season.

You know what, it is. But college football is about the pageantry, the on campus atmosphere. You don't get that at neutral site games no matter how awesome the stadium. The packers play 10+ games there a year if you're interested in the stadium.

Same people complaining about this probably thought it was so damn cool when the Saints played the Dolphins in Tiger Stadium because of Katrina. (Saban was Dolphin's coach) I remember people suggesting that the Saints play there more in the future.

Hard to have a dialogue under those circumstances
I love home and home games. Would love to play texas, but they will NEVER do it

Throw the fans a bone and play a marquee ooc game at home every once in a while.

That's my point. Maybe two great games this year and the rest mediocre to crap. We used to at least be able to look forward to a marquee ooc opponent every few years to go along with that.
Looking back, that is in fact part of the argument used to permanently expand the schedule to 12 games. We were told it was going to make it that much easier to schedule bigger OOC games.
Of course, we weren't told they would not be played at our stadium.

With how it's gone recently and how many teams add and drop to fill these neural game slots, how CAN you believe that schedules 4-5-6 years out are set in stone?

I hate neutral site games as well. I understand that there's less money involved in home/home games, but damnit I want to see my team play big name OOC opponents at Tiger Stadium.
To those saying it's impossible to get quality teams to come to SEC stadiums, that's a load of shite. There's a bunch of teams that will do home/home games. Sadly, it's the SEC teams that refuse to travel. Florida hasn't left the state for an OOC game since 1993 when they lost at Syracuse, ffs. LSU has been decent about it though, traveling to Washington, Arizona St, and West Virginia in recent memory.

Doesn't sound like you have much say in the matter. Not every fan complains about these neutral site games, so not every fan needs a bone

I have no problem with neutral site games. It's fun to have a huge bowl-style game to kick off the season. Besides, home and homes aren't dead. West Virginia and Washington?
