Wong will get some playing time, but I doubt it will be more than a bench role this season. I honestly don't see them getting rid of Freese. Even though he hasn't been playing that well, he's the hometown playoff hero.
Unless Wong just beats the cover off the ball in spring training, I don't think he'll stick around long. He's to valuable as trade bait.

Freese is 70% gone my man.
As for Wong as trade bait, unlikely, Cards love him almost as much as Taverns, especially Mozeliak, he called him untouchable.
There's a reason they extended 2 players and didn't even consider Freese this offseason. Freese then had some choice words which didn't help his future any either combined with his mediocre season, writing is on the wall.

Wong will be more than a bench player or they would have left him down. Might not be every day starter, but will get his share of opportunities.
