I have yet to play the second really myself, though it's sitting in my steam library and is next on my list after I finish wringing all the fun out of Skyrim.

It really is, but they went in a totally different direction with the second game and look to further that with the third.

They said you don't need to play the others for this but there will be stuff in there that people will see from the first 2. I'm going to work my way up to it. I have had the first one sitting in my library for a while

I got in on this one late, but bumped the game thread to tell ya'll how impressed I was with W2. This is, by a good bit, my most eagerly anticipated next-gen release.
