I think there is a measure of truth to what I'm saying but when someone says something like "i win" I didn't think anyone would take it that seriously, now 2 full days later the thread is bumped. I probably post that same thing about once a month, and like clockwork LSU fans get angry. It's funny to me because there is such a sense of insecurity from LSU fans, but they like shitting on Tulane. Tulane plays in a nothing conference, why would LSU fans even comment?
My measures of truth:
LSU wasn't ole miss pre 2000, but they were beyond awful in the 90s
LSU's titles aren't tainted, but there is something about each one of them that I think lessens the accomplishment to a degree.
Miles is a disaster as a head coach (I'm not talking about recruiting or any other function aside from making decisions on game day.)
That's it.
You're crazy if you think they're a top 15 program in the HISTORY of college football.

just trolling lulz? If it hasn't been obvious to you this entire time, then at you. When you start claiming accomplishments and name calling, that's when i became concerned you take this a little too seriously. That's all.

And yet, if it wasn't for Miles' goofy coaching decisions, they would have lost more than 2 games in 2007.

it won you the florida game, it lost you the kentucky game and didn't help in the arkansas game
one of your players was called for a BS illegal shift penalty that negated a 60+ yard touchdown, for some reason I remember it being hester...is that who that was.
bottom line: miles is terrible on gameday. For every 2007 florida I can point to a slew of games he personally effed for the tigers.

There is absolutely no doubt that LSU is a top 15 program in college football history. No doubt at all.
LSU is 12th all time in winning percentage among BCS conference schools and 11th in total wins in FBS history. LSU is top 10 in bowl appearances as well as top 10 in major bowl appearances and 12th all time in Top 10 finishes.

I really do not hate LSU, I wanted them to beat bama in the championship game and I have alot of friends and family who went there. I have alot of fun with it. LSU fans cannot take some friendly smack talk. To my credit, I probably watched every play of every game for every team during the 2007 season. Never been a better year for college football. SEC and Big East were my 2 favorite conferences to watch that year. And Tulane gave LSU a run for their money that year...in the first 3 quarters at least.

your entitled to whatever opinion you want about Miles or whatever but some of these other things you're saying are flat out factually incorrect.

Notre Dame
Michigan
Ohio St
Penn St
USC
Nebraska
Oklahoma
Texas
Alabama
Florida
Florida St.
Miami
Georgia
Auburn
Here is where we start getting into LSU territory, and it really is due to their success over the last 15 years, not a big winning tradition there.
These schools are all undoubtedly better all time, and I really don't care about what wins/losses you pull out. Heisman winners, national titles in multiple decades, undefeated seasons, some of the best players of all time. LSU starts to be in the conversation around 15, so there should be alot of doubt. In 20 years that may be drastically different, and I expect it to be, but a 13 year run and some great teams in the 50s doesn't make it an all time great program.

Nick Saban has won 3 national titles in 4 years after leaving LSU because it wasn't the big time
really what am i saying that is factually incorrect, at least on the things I told you I was serious about? most insecure fanbase ever. I'm sure you were around cheering the tigers in the 90s let me guess, you're also a giants or cardinals fan,

So wins and loses, top 10 finishes, bowl appearances and major bowl appearances don't count?
Florida State, Auburn? Name one metric all-time in which either of those schools are better than LSU.
LSU, Florida and Georgia are interchangeable.
Miami has 5 NCs no taking that away but they were abysmal for decades before that and have been nothing special in the last decade as well.
You're just wrong, I don't know what else to tell you. You lack knowledge about college football history.

I've been going to LSU games since I was old enough to walk. I have 3 degrees from LSU and a tattoo of Memorial Tower on my back

Id love to hear how auburn, florida, fsu, etc are better all time programs
Posted on 8/16/13 at 2:04 pm to Draconian Sanctions
Let me ask you a question: Do you really think that LSU got to be 11th in all time wins in the history of college football just off the last 13 years? I mean really?

I don't really care about how awesome LSU was before the 1970s. Auburn has two Natties in my lifetime, same as LSU, only they also have heisman winners, undefeated seasons, etc.

Miami has 5 NCs
stopped right there

So are we talking all time or aren't we?

Says the numbers.
LSU has a better winning percentage all time than either of those schools. LSU and UF both have 3 NCs, UGA has 2. UGA has 12 SEC Titles, LSU 11, Florida 9. Total wins are very close. There's just not that much difference.

So NCs are the ONLY thing that count?

all time in wins...who gives a shite, people play different teams in different parts of the countries in different decades. It's such a flawed measure of ALL TIME success.
From 1958 to 2003...45 years of irrelevance. Now look at the NCs of the teams I listed in that time frame. Look at their heisman winners, the classic games, the all time great players they produced. Top 15 It really depends on how you view it though. Strictly wins and losses, ok. LSU must have put up a shitload of meaningless wins in those 45 years. The best LSU moments in those decades was ALMOST beating USC at home and causing an "earthquake" against auburn
