I have never understood this. How does the price of a stock affect the way you see your purchase? If the stock looks cheap and your returns are based on percentages, why does it matter if you own 10 shares at $200 a share or 200 shares at $10 a share?

I mentioned them in other threads but AAPL and BP are the ones I'm following most closely. I am heavy into aapl right now and will likely sell over next 3-4% increase. BP just seems way too low. I'd rather not touch a O&G stock due to my job in the O&G sector. Just getting too tempting...

The only reasonable explanation would be that he wanted to buy in lots of 100 so he could write covered calls, but I imagine someone asking random strangers on the Internet for stock tips would only be doing it due to a false sense of wealth associated with owning 1000 shares of a penny stock.
