Actually, the statement rings true regardless of what Hill's status is.
If Miles doesn't want PLAYER A to play a snap for him, then PLAYER A doesn't play a snap for him.
That in no way suggests the opposite, that if MIles wants Hill to play, that he would be playing regardless of other variables.

Whether Patterson himself is making the call, the Athletic Dept, the Dean, or anyone else. The point remains that Patterson is calling out Miles for the Hill situation while "TCU" is atempting to reinstate Fields after imposing a 2-game suspension.
Doesn't matter whose decision it is, IF Fields plays in the game, and I'm not speculating on whether he will, Patterson's comments reflect badly on whatever executive body is reconsidering Fields' suspension.
All in all, he really just should have kept his mouth shut.

All of the panelist on around the horn basically agreed with him. I guess none of them saw the press conference where miles said he hasn't decided if he will play.
