Sorry, this may seem a bit long-winded but I wanted to share my thoughts on the matter. I just think it's funny that Miles is getting all the heat he's getting. What about all the players getting arrested at Florida with Urban Meyer and how he handled those situations or the bar fight with Johnny Football and all of the other stupid things he's been involved in? Meyer was seen as the best thing ever and could do no wrong and JFF's actions were seen as those done by a 20 year old college kid. If I'm not mistaken, he didn't miss any games. They let him do what he wants, but why would you? He won the Heisman Trophy and beat Alabama and made your school look good.

I don't know what happened, but I do think that CLM wanted to involve his players by letting them listen to Hill and what he had to say about what happened in depth and to allow the players to truly understand the situation if they didn't already know. I'm pretty sure CLM already had an idea what he wanted to do after he learned about Hill's fate but he wanted to know where the players stood. Yes, you would think that the players would want Hill back but you really don't know how they may feel. CLM wanted Hill to hear how the players felt. At the end of the day, he already knew what he wanted to do. The media is upset because they want an explanation of what he plans to do with Hill and how they feel he took the word of his team on what to do. He took their opinions into account, and they weighed heavily on what he decided to do next which tells me he was planning on allowing him back if the situation played well for Hill to return. Now with people like Gary Patterson, who really has no room to talk, commenting on the issue, if CLM were to state his punishment now, it would appear that he's doing it because of what others say.

CLM moves to the beat of his own drummer. He could care less what anyone says about him or how he handles his business. JJ was suspended for half the season for his situation. Both TM and RP were kicked off the team after given more than their share of chances to get themselves together. From day one CLM has been on top of this and I'm sure Hill's punishment is far from over. I'm sure (at least I hope) that Hill knows that he not only must earn his way back in, but also gain CLM's trust in him again and stay on the straight and narrow because the next time he even steps out of line (even a little), he's gone.
