Best thread I've read in awhile. I hope all the guys leave their mark at LSU.

this is the deepest class top to bottom we have had in a while. just so many good players and at every position

weve been recruiting at clip we never have before. gone are the days where most guys stay 4-5 years. Its sad that all these classes wont be at LSU at the same time, but hey im down for reloading, not rebuilding.

A lot of that has to do with the scholarship limits imposed on CFB. It really puts pressure on a scholarship guy buried in the depth chart to process himself.

Awesome brew gonna awesome.
Enjoyed following the 2013 cycle very much.
Lots of leaders. Both Anthony Jennings and Hayden Rettig were nearly one man offenses. Tre'Davious White, Melvin Jones, Jerry Brazil, Kendell Beckwith, John Diarse are guys that did everything for their high school teams. I believe White was his class valedictorian. These guys will hold each other accountable.
Nobody knew who White, Rashard Robinson, Josh Boutte, Kevin Spears and MJ Patterson were when we first heard their names. They went out and competed to earn spots. Brazil proved he could play defense. John Diarse proved he could be a wide receiver. Ricky Jefferson proved he was a lot more than JJ's little brother.
Bain played guard for a state championship team all year because that's where his coach needed him. He was awarded Broward County athlete of the year for his leadership on the football field and the basketball court (6'5" 285 lb. baller!). Desean Smith and MJ Patterson played in state championship games. Diarse played in three of them and Duke Riley played in four.
This may be the perfect class to have in front of the 2014 all-stars. They aren't all 247 Composite five stars but nearly all worked their way up to being solid four stars. The few that aren't performed like they were against four and five star guys. This is a group who's collective stock rose as they cycle played out. Regardless of how they were ranked in high school, they are going to be LSU Football players when the 2014 class arrives. Some will have more than earned the kind of respect the 2014 guys will need to have.

That is exactly what I'm thinking.. such perfect complements. Deep in their own respective areas and cover the thinner positions of the other.
Btw, this thread is not having nearly the same effect on the Rant.. which is why the RB >>>>>>>

Actually, I believe Robinson transferred there his senior year after Peterson (nee Johnson) had left.

Just hope Robinson can be cleared soon & does not miss very much of fall practice--any news about how soon he will be able to make it & start practicing with the others?
