In no particular order, I'll start with:

John Paul Jones/John Bonham (Led Zeppelin)
Noel Redding/Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Henrix Experience)
Jack Bruce/Ginger Baker (Cream)
Muzz Skillings/Will Calhoun (Living Colour)
Les Claypool/Tim "Herb" Alexander (Primus)
Mike Watt/George Hurley (fIREHOSE)
John Paul Jones/Dave Grohl (Them Crooked Vultures)
Sting/Stewart Copeland (The Police)

Who am I missing? Go!

Chad Smith/ Flea (RHCP)

The chads are two of my favorite drummer. They know how to make the drums work into a song instead of take over or fade away.

I've still yet to find a modern drummer on Steve Jordan's level.

Great choices, Drummin Fool.
Don't forget Billy Cox and Jimi. He was a bass player unlike Noel.

What do you think of Noel's songs on Axis and ElectricLadyaland?

I like them. It's an English guy sounding English, combined with Mitch's drumming and Jimi's playing.

Just in case you didn't know, Jimi played the leads on 'She's So Fine' and that spacey excellent riff on the end of 'Little Miss Strange'.

The English nude cover of ElectricLadyland got me banned for about 8 months, oh well.
