Never heard of it but regular rice bran is like crack to the deer by my house so i can only imagine that stuff is better.

A guy at work swears by it, but I don't see how it works better than regular rice bran. They tear that shite up at on my property.

it is the scent that brings them in more than regular bran. i have used the persimmion and the apple. Both work good now-oct... not as good later in season, same with persimmion salt blocks.. i guess its the flavors they are used to that time of yr, no clue

I have a big persimmon tree about 50 yards from my stand. I'm thinking a sack of Persimmon rice bran couldn't hurt anything

Only rice bran I could get my deer to eat is the kind with molasses in it. Other than that, it would rot into the ground.

That's crazy.
A buddy I hunt with came into a bunch of unmilled rice a couple years ago. I figured deer might eat it since it still had the husk on and I think that's where rice bran comes from. Boy was I wrong. They wouldn't touch the stuff. So we wound up with somewhere around 2000# of rice to feed the birds.

Can you mix it with corn in a feeder?

Started using this at the camp in St Francisville about 2 years ago. Deer love it and the hogs dont seem to get in it as bad as with the regular rice bran. This is based on what shows up on the camera only so it could be more to do with patterns on the lease than the diffrent rice bran so take it for what it is worth.

I like the rice bran since the coons don't seem to eat it like the corn.

Coons are our problem too, If I posted any of my deer cam pics they would be herds of coons, not deer.

have never used persimmon but have used regular, some type of maple flavor and even peanut butter. cant say 1 works any better than other. As other poster stated it is like crack to a junkie. PB flavor smells good enough you consider putting in your own mouth

Deer ate it up two season ago....they loved it. I had hundreds of trail cam pics....
....all at night. Damn UP deer would not touch it during the day.

We kill plenty in Lincoln Parish eating it.
