Is it ok to help mom feed pups? Update with new pics on pg.2!

Ok so I just had an unplanned litter of boxer puppies and the female had 9 puppies and this is her first litter. A vet told me with that many pups it wouldn't hurt to bottle feed them once a day to help the mother out. I have a good formula that has worked well for me in the past, but my question is will this upset the puppies stomach nursing on breast milk and formula?
I've been giving the female a half a scoop of calf milk replacer a day also to try and help her produce more milk. Does
anyone know any tips to help the female produce milk?
The mom
The dads...
I have new concern now so I may bring her to the vet tomorrow. Some of the pups appear weaker today which I know is normal with that many pups, but she has some discharge coming out of her back end and No appetite so I'm scared she has metritis.

While I agree naturally they all probably wouldn't make it, I'd like to at least give em all a good chance. I'm a sucker for boxers.

Cute pups.
What age do you cut the tails?

Funny you ask. I talked to my vet because I'll be at tarpon rodeo this weekend and I usually do it at 3 days old, but he said come in monday early when they are 6 days. It kind of makes me nervous, but he said he'll do it and they should be fine.

What do you do with the tails? That's gotta be a pretty damn weird problem to have...

I am sure that they will be fine on formula. It's quite successful in humans so I am sure that it would be fine for dogs.
The breeder that I got my GSP from would supplement the mother's milk with goat milk. There were 10 puppies in that litter and they all made it.

Boxers man boxers. A lab is more inclined to bite then a boxer is.

Let that b*tch feed her own kids.

The vet usually keeps them, but one time my vet told a little boy to take that tail and put it in a mason jar with water and that it'll grow a new puppy in a couple days. The little boy did it and was pissed when his mom made him get rid of it.

That's messed up.
A friend of mine who is divorced with 2 boys had her oldest start asking her questions about boners a couple of years ago. Her ex uninvolved, she asked me what to say. I told her that she should tell him it's nothing to be worried about. It happens to all boys about his age. He'll feel the natural urge to play with it so it will eventually fall off and his adult one would grow in its place, like teeth.
She let me down.

Feed mom anything she wants & prob not the calf milk could go right through her she needs calories & fat. bottle feed formula you can buy it at the vet and feed as often as you can.

Yes, you can help feed the pups. My parents bred Rotts and the female was a shitty mom. I was a kid so I don't remember what the formula was but we did bottle feed the things constantly.
