I'm sure most people who care about the NBA give a shite. The rules are in place for a reason. This isn't baseball.

im sure the fact that it was a severe pay cut is why it threw up red flags. also im sure the other GMs in the league already had their suspicions about the guy.
I think last years Mirza Teletovic contract is the one that raises the flag the most

They needed a sixth man, their bench is terrible.
They still need to add a shooter at some point imo

Pretty obvious after both of these euro players take major paycuts

what does this have to do with anything at all? is it too much to ask to read the actual first post before commenting?

I was replying to someone else.

Can we kick out the people in this thread who don't get it so we can have an actual discussion?

You're a complete mouthbreather if you don't see a problem with paying under the table and avoiding the cap

Do we know for sure that AK7 turned down a larger deal to go the Nets? Maybe he and his agent just badly read the market for his services.

HE personally opted out of the $10million left on his final year with the timberwolves. Surely seems suspicous that someone would take a $7million paycut.

SA was gonna sign and trade him for about ~$8 mil but Minn turned it down.
It is entirely possible that this is a straight up deal, but I have my doubts esp since Kirelenko originally wanted long term deal worth more than $3 mil..

Yeah there's no way. But I don't like a salary cap so

Ya not wanting to go to the spurs for more money proves he wants to play for a winner and take less money. We all k ow the nets are a out titles

I'm not sure what your point is here, of course the Nets are trying to win. If the allegations are true, then they are cheating.

Where would the legality of something like this be written?

A safe deposit box in a russian bank with cash in the name of a player's relative is untraceable
