Awe man this got me. I've spent so much time alone, deep in the woods/swamps etc in my lifetime. I've got so many stories that are mostly just instinctive feelings where I know something isn't right and I don't belong in this place at this time. I've had a lot of other guys tell me similar stuff. This whole series is filled with confirmation that I wasn't just being crazy or paranoid.

And while I was working at Fort Polk at JRTC in my early 20's, I was doing recon just before dark and came up on some concrete stairs in the middle of a hill somewhere out in Peason Ridge. I made a mental note of the exact coordinates because I felt it would come in handy during a late night fire mission as an easy landmark. Well I never found those stairs again. And I've had more than one person tell me I was retarded and that they knew that area like the back of their hand, and never saw any stairs. Now...... Just mother frick my life!
