I recall a blue chip safety named Reid who punked out a certain elite TE in mid air at the goal line to change the outcome of one huge high profile game a couple of years ago. There aren't many five starts who could recover from someone else's missed assignment to run down that play and fight for that ball in the air like that. That is game changing ability.

Dick, I used the same example in another response to him and obviously IMO a great example. Having said that, you remember a running back threw that pass right? No way is that not a TD anyway if a McCarron throws that pass. I do believe Eric Reid was guilty of "fair catch interference" because I'm sure I saw the TE waving his hand back and forth as the ball floated down.

I saw your reply after I posted mine. I had forgotten that the RB threw that ball though. After thinking about it, it did seem to float at the end just like my so called "deep" balls (40 yard bombs ;)) used to back in the day.

And if Reid was guilty of anything, it was raping a gump in his own back yard and turning the bama faithful into whiners for the next two months. They couldn't stop itching about that call no matter what the thread was about originally.

I miss that guy already. Hopefully Loston can hold the spot down for a full year.

I thought it was Maize that threw the pass.
