Yannis Koutroupis: Unsurprising news: Pelicans guard Austin Rivers is obtainable. Pelicans not actively shopping him, but he could be had in the right deal. Twitter @YannisHW

Very ok with both of these things. Thoughts?

I agree with keeping Anderson. Yes, his contract is large, but he's a rare talent.
As for Rivers, who cares. Guy will never pan out.

Meh, I don't want to go small ball and I trust that rivers could be a reliable 1/2 backup.
If we went with the small ball lineup, we would have to have one of the top fg% in the league to make up for the unavoidable rebounding disparity.

While it doesn't surprise me that Rivers might be obtainable in the right deal I would be somewhat surprised if he were traded solo. He could still develop and he's not costing them a lot for a bench player.

I wonder how many people said Kobe would suck after he put up 7 a game as a rookie.

I can tell you for sure that some fans in L.A. wanted him gone.

Because when I think of a good comparison to Rivers Kobe is the first to come to mind

Yeah, because I obviously meant that Rivers is the next Kobe.

I like how a some of you guys are giving up on a once 19 year old rookie. ...I actually believe in Austin Rivers.

This is the 3rd year in a row Demps will drastically change the look of the entire roster.

Ummm, not only was he the worst rookie, he was the worst player in the NBA (PER). Also, arguably the worst rookie of all time.
Doesn't sound too promising to me.

I do too. Kid works his arse off and already showed improvement just over one season.
