Yeah, exactly. It's one of your secondary teams.
I'm the same way. I support the colleges I attended, the countries I am a citizen of, LSU since I grew up in Baton Rouge for my entire childhood, the Saints, and Fenerbahce.
Even the Pelicans are a casual team for me since they came to the state when I was 17, and I left the next summer. If I picked another European side, they would be at best like the Pelicans (although a much more competitive side).

I prob invest a couple of hours a day to following LFC and am wholly invested in them week in and week out during a 9 month season...
I tune into the USMNT when they play and rarely know the starting 11 until right before the start. Do I root for them hard during the match, hell yes!
I don't know what id rather, because I know what a WC would mean to the sport in this country. That said, all my thoughts usually go to what LFC needs to bring trophies to Anfield.
