The Anthony Davis Effect

I have been reading this board non stop since the trade went down on Thursday night. I feel that the single most over looked aspect of this trade, and the future of the Pels, by some of our fans is Anthony Davis. We won the lottery already and got our "once in a decade" type prospect. If he is the player we all think he is, he will take a major step forward over the next two years. Now we have a 23 yr old All Star pg and a 24 year old shooting guard with the talent to be a 20ppg guy. Now Dell needs to make one of his "ninja GM moves" (my favorite thing I have read over the last few days) for a small forward.
If AD is who we think he is and EG is relatively healthy, we weren't going to win less than 35 games next season anyway. I love the direction this franchise has taken. Dell and Monty are putting their faith in the development of AD, Jrue, and EG. I'll take it moving forward.

I love that we will have some actual talent that it will be put up or shut up for Monty too. I'll pull for him to succeed, but just because we have legit talent now, he can't rest on his laurels. He better bring his A game too.

On what planet is Anthony Davis a "once in a decade" prospect?

Garnett from his rookie year (age 19) to 2nd year (age 20).
The Twolves were 26-56 his rookie year and 40-42 in year two and made the playoffs (basically on KG, Gugs, and Marbury's shoulders).
AD's rookie year on a 26-55 team. Looking forward to a team with AD, Gordon, Holiday, Anderson in 2013-2014

Nice post, but how is this an "Anthony Davis Effect"?

Some of these guys thinking AD won't be > Faried
Dude can easily be a top 10 player in a few years
